Frequently Asked Questions

What is an atomic swap?

An atomic swap is a peer-to-peer exchange of cryptocurrencies that uses Hash Time-Locked Contracts (HTLCs) to ensure the trade either completes fully or not at all, eliminating counterparty risk.

Is AtomicSwap custodial?

No. AtomicSwap is completely non-custodial. Your funds are never held by us. The HTLC contracts are on-chain and controlled by you.

What is the minimum trade size?

There is no platform minimum. You can create an offer for any positive BTC amount that your connected wallets and testnet balances can support.

What are the fees?

AtomicSwap charges a 1% platform fee on successful swaps only. Failed or refunded swaps have no fees.

How long does a swap take?

A typical swap takes 10-30 minutes depending on blockchain confirmation times. Both parties need to be active to complete the swap.

What if the other party doesn't complete?

HTLCs have built-in timelocks. If the counterparty fails to complete their step, you can claim a refund after the timelock expires.

What cryptocurrencies are supported?

Currently, AtomicSwap supports BTC (Bitcoin) and USDT on TRON network.
